Wanted in the Philippines Arrested in BAngkok
« on: June 12, 2010, 03:07:22 PM »
By Marlon Ramos

One of the country’s most wanted fugitives was flown back to Manila on Saturday, four days after he was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, for violation of immigration laws in that country.

Escorted by Philippine authorities, Jose Ma. Panlilio arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City around 6 a.m. aboard a Cebu Pacific flight from Bangkok, according to Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina, Philippine National Police spokesman.

Agents of the Philippine Center for Transnational Crime led by Chief Insp. Edgardo Hernandez immediately brought Panlilio to the Philippine National Police Custodial Center at Camp Crame.

“He will be temporarily detained in Camp Crame pending proper disposition on the return of his warrant of arrest with the issuing court,” Espina said.

Panlilio, son of the late socialite jeweler Fe Panlilio, is the primary suspect in the murder of half-brothers Ariel Real and Albert Gutierrez on July 15, 2003.

The victims’ mother, lawyer Carmencita de Castro, and the PNP had put up a P5-million reward for his arrest. - PDI

The reward is very enticing, na milyonaryo ang nakatudlo hai siya tago.

It is amazing because the Dutchman, J. Vander sloot , who was charged for the muder of Natalie Halloway, was recently charged for murder for the murder of a Peruvian woman. It was 5 years to the day that Natalie Halloway disappeared when he supposedly killed the Peruvian woman.

I hope he is punished accordingly.

He was not charged of  Halloway's murder, he was only a suspect but was
turned loose for lack of evidence and the body of the victim was not found either.

Concerning the death of this Peruvian woman, plenty of evidences were collected
plus a video showing  the last time the woman was seen alive with him.

In fact, he admitted to the killing on the reason of self-defense, now that's laughable,
and  robbing her also of her winnings from the poker game.
At last his eggs will be cooked.. >:(

Yes you're right. I remember reading an article years back on how his father, Paulus, was instrumental in having his charges dropped. His father was a Dutch Attorney in Netherlands Antille. Unfortunately, Paulus passed away in February. What is rather interesting is that the night he supposedly murdered the Peruvian, was the 5th year anniversary of Halloway's disappearance. Vandersloot was actually going to point the location of where Natalie's body was for 25k payment; in fact there was an FBI investigation on it. Quite interesting actually.

May he be punished according to his crimes. May it be swift and just.
