Julhambri Misuari, one of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) ranking leaders and one those who spearheaded the Cabatangan siege in November 2001 in this city, is dead.
This was confirmed by Misuari's friend, Shariff Moshin Julabbi, who disclosed that Misuari died of natural death late Saturday in Tuburan town, Basilan province.
He was a kin of former governor Nur Misuari of the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao and erstwhile chairman of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
Julabbi said Misuari succumbed to stroke when the latter's blood pressure shoot up.
His mortal remain was buried, in conformity with Islamic tradition, in Basilan on the same day Misuari died.
Stroke is the rapidly developing loss of brain function due to a disturbance in the blood vessels supplying blood to the brain. This can be due to ischemia (lack of blood supply) caused by thrombosis orembolism, or due to a hemorrhage. - Philippine News Agency
