This ship is armed to the teeth. Armed with Phalanx Air Defense Systems and anti-submarine and anti-ship capabilities.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

ok... at least nagsugod na... lets buy another two squadrons of multi-role fighter jets and daghang fully armed fast attack patrol seacrafts and engaged them before they can reach land. I think they will hesitate to land troops, murag pildihon sila sa guerilla warfare. AFP soldiers have more war experience than the chinese

of course we need radar system to do that. even if we cant stand toe to toe with china's modern military might, at least they will hesitate to bully us... at least the philippines will be a military threat in the region like what president marcos did in his reign

During the reign of President Marcos, the Philippine Armed Forces was the cream of the crop of the militaries in South East Asia. The full strength of the Philippine Armed Forces at the time, the active forces that is, was at 250,000 strong and some auxiliary reserves.

The Air Force had F-8 Phantoms and a fleet of F-5 Tiger II Air Superiority Fighters at the time. Did you know, Green, that a Soviet long range bomber that entered Philippine Air Space , at the time, was detected and trailed by Philippine Jet Fighters and forced out of our air space?

Philippine Air Force, at the time, was unchallenged.

You're right, we should upgrade Pag-Asa Island's ability to accommodate air force jets.

Right now, the PAF should send some of its trainer jet fighters to the region to put emphasis on the Philippine Claim.
