A senator and an AFP general declared yesterday that poverty and (lack of)education are the main enemies of the state which need to be seriously addressed in order to eradicate the existence of armed groups like the New People's Army (NPA).
This was the common view shared by former soldier and now Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Major General Charlie Holganza, national commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines ' National Development Support Command (AFP-NDSC).
Holganza and Trillanes personally visited station DYRD yesterday morning and were simultaneously interviewed over the top-rated weekly program "Radio Merkado.â€
