The remains of a Filipina spa supervisor who was killed in a suicide attack at a luxury hotel in Afghanistan arrived in Manila Saturday evening.
The body of Zennia Aguilan arrived 10:35 p.m. via Emirates flight EK 334.
Her remains were met by her two siblings. They however declined to give any statement.
At least eight people, including Aguilan who was working as a spa supervisor at Serena Hotel, were killed when armed men stormed the building in Kabul the capital of Afghanistan.
Aguilan reportedly died from injuries she sustained from the suicide bombing and armed attack on the hotel.
The attack killed at least seven others including a US citizen and a Norwegian newspaper reporter, Carsten Thomassen, 38.
A Reuters report said up to four attackers threw hand grenades at the gates, shot their way into the high-walled compound and at some point set off a suicide bomb near the hotel, which was housing Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere. Stoere was unhurt in the attack.
Robert Stewart, an American who witnessed the attack, said a Filipino woman was shot. The Filipino woman had been shot "critically through the lung," he told CNN.
Meanwhile, Aguilan's relatives are mourning the unexpected loss of their family member.
Veronica Dumawa, the victim's aunt said they saw Aguilan, the youngest of five children, in July 2007 when she went home to Baguio City for a vacation. The victim planned to return for another vacation
