TAIWAN OFW QUAKE VICTIM’S REMAINS ARRIVE IN MANILA FEB 14

Melody Albano Castro’s remains are expected to arrive in Manila at the NAIA Wednesday morning at 9:40am flown in from Taipei on flight CI-701 from Taipei, Pilipino Manpower Agencies Accredited to Taiwan (PILMAT) officials said.

Relatives of the Filipina OFW who died in Taiwan during the recent earthquake there will wait for the remains of their beloved Melody Albano Castro at the Tuguegarao City on Thursday morning of February 15, PILMAT said on Tuesday in a news release.

After offloading from the aircraft, Ms. Castro’s remains will be brought to the PAIR-PAGS Center, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, NAIA Complex, Pasay City.

PILMAT President Aida Gerodias, VP Ampy Domagas, and INSANA agency President Marife Vilora will attend to the arrival details and other necessary coordination at NAIA and with other government agencies. They will also be available for media interviews.

PILMAT officials said their group had coordinated well with the Manila Economic and Cultural Office and worked on the insurance claim for Ms. Castro. PILMAT will also deposit their group’s P55,000 aid for the Castro family to the family’s bank account. Insurance proceeds for Castro’s family will also be deposited directly to the Castro family bank account. (END)
