The two-day visit of President Benigno Aquino III has further inspired visitors' confidence to this mountain resort, which in the past few decades had its role as one of the international
tourist destinations.
This was confirmed by both the
residents and visitors, many of whom tried to take a glimpse of the son of their idol -the late President Corazon C. Aquino.
Victor Calimlim, a leader of the public market cooperative here, said the sales of vegetables, marine products, livestock, general merchandise and souvenirs shot up more than 100 percent compared to sales during ordinary days.
Vivien Cabangis from Urdaneta, Pangasinan said she brought her family here knowing that they can enjoy the amenities of the city while the tight security for the President and party would assure the absence of any problem of peace and order.
True to her observation, the police blotters of the city police's eight precincts were almost spotless since Saturday except for some violations of ordinances like jaywalking and littering.
To this hour, there are still a good number of those in the parks and would only leave the city afterwards when President shall be returning to Manila.

Aquino, who spent the night at the Mansion House, was able to meet earlier Cordillera officials who included Benguet provincial governor Nestor Fongwan, Baguio city mayor Mauricio Domogan.
