Thai national Prasertsri Kosin through his Facebook account tagged Filipinos as "pignoys", "stupid creatures", low-class slum slaves" and "useless race in this world".

A THAI national employed at a business process outsourcing company in Taguig City is facing a deportation charge over his alleged racially offensive remarks against Filipinos on social media.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) issued on Monday a deportation charge against Thai national Prasertsri Kosin, known to netizens under the handle "Koko Narak", for undesirability.

Kosin through his Facebook account tagged Filipinos as "pignoys", "stupid creatures", low-class slum slaves" and "useless race in this world".

"Based on our records, Kosin is working under a special non-immigrant visa based on Section 47(a)(2) of the Philippine Immigration Act. The visa will be eventually cancelled should he be determined to be undesirable," said BI spokesperson Elaine Tan.

She added that the foreign national will be allowed to present his defenses to the charge against him.

Deportation cases are heard before the BI's Board of Special Inquiry, whose recommendation is deliberated by the Board of Commissioners in the latter's weekly meeting.

"We cannot say at this point how long the proceedings will go—it may take two to six months depending on the evidence presented and the cooperation of the parties. Kosin also has the option to admit the charge against him and opt for voluntary deportation in order to expedite the proceedings," Tan said.

In the event of deportation, the foreigner will be included in the BI's blacklist, barring re-entry into the country.

Meanwhile, Kosin's employer Cognizant Philippines issued an official statement on May 3 saying the company does not "tolerate any irresponsible, racist or discriminatory practices" of its employees.

"We have already taken steps to address the issue in keeping with our comprehensive and stringent corporate policies. Please be assured that we had initiated our internal interventions to address this matter and Kosin will face the consequences of his action after due process," the statement read.

The company said Kosin's views are personal and the company neither supports, nor subscribes to any of them. (FP/Sunnex)

pignoys?  a term coming from a pigthail?  no sweat.  he's alone.  singular.  unlike his plural pignoyS.  most thais aren't like him.  they're more educated and cultured than this pigthail, and it shows.

rather, i expected the company that he's working for, in the philippines, knows how to vet their employees better.
Republic Act 8485 (Animal Welfare Act of 1998, Philippines), as amended and strengthened by House  Bill 6893 of 2013--- violation means a maximum of P250,000 fine with a corresponding three-year jail term and a minimum of P30,000 fine and six months imprisonment

look closer at that face, especially in this instance when he's pigging out.  he may not be a pignoy, but he's a cross between a pigthail and a hippopotamus, with my apologies for insulting pigs and hippos. :)

next time, koko, if you can't watch your manners as a guest in a foreign country, at least watch your english grammar if you must convey, in the english language, your arrogance and false sense of superiority.  and hide your ugly face from the internet, please.  it's pathetic.

btw, congratulations, koko.  the country that you purport to come from beat our country, your current host, in almost everything in terms of economic data.  but note too that you also beat us in HIV/AIDS deaths and prevalence.

HIV/AIDS Deaths:

Philippines:    200
Thailand:    28,000

HIV/AIDS Adult Rate:

Philippines       0.1%
Thailand          1.3%
