PHILHEALTH HAS NEW PREMIUM RATES

STATEMENT BY THE HONORABLE RON P. SALO
KABAYAN Party-list
Assistant Majority Leader
PHILHEALTH HAS NEW PREMIUM RATES

As a public service in line with the focus of KABAYAN Party-list on health care, I update the general public, particularly PhilHealth members and their employers, of the new and simplified PhilHealth table of contributions that take effect starting January 2018.

By the way, the PhilHealth budget for health care insurance this year is P57 billion. PhilHealth issued the circular on the new rates of premium contributions last September 2017.

For PhilHealth members with monthly basic salary of P10,000 and below, the monthly premium is P275 divided into equal employee’s and employer’s share of P136.50.

PhilHealth members whose monthly basic salary are from P10,000.01 to P39,999.99, the total monthly premium is 2.75 percent, then divided into equal shares for the employee and employer.

Those whose basic monthly salary are from P40,000 upwards, the flat rate is P1,100 for the monthly premium, for equal employee and employer shares of P550.

Kasambahay or domestic workers paid P5,000 per month or higher will have their employee’s share matched by an equal employer’s share, but for those earning less than P5,000 the employer will pay for the full PhilHealth monthly premium.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
