The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 7 in Central Visayas, in collaboration with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), will conduct the Penology Officer Examination on March 20, 2011 in Cebu City.
Incumbent personnel of the BJMP, the Bureau of Corrections and other correctional facilities who have not yet acquired any Second Level Eligibility or career service professional eligibility, Penology Officer eligibility, 2nd Level Police Officer eligibility and other applicable 2nd level eligibilities are invited to take the exams.
This is also open to private individuals with no 2nd level eligibility and who are interested to join the jail and penology service, according to CSC Regional Director Judith Chicano.
The eligibility resulting from the examination is considered appropriate to second level ranks in the jail management and penology, and functionally related services only, except for ranks under the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Application forms maybe secured at the CSC regional office or in field offices all over the region, or may download the same from the CSC website
www.csc.gov.ph.
Acceptance of application forms in CSC field offices in the region is on a first-come, first-served basis up to February 28, 2011 only. (PNA)
