Palace orders Friday as non-working holiday in San Pablo City

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna, Jan. 12 (PNA) -- By authority of President Rodrigo Duterte, Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea has signed Proclamation No. 127 declaring Friday the 13th of January as a special non-working holiday in San Pablo City.

The Presidential Proclamation made the “non-working” day declaration to mark the city’s celebration of the 22nd Coconut Festival and Street Dancing Competition (Mardi Gras).

The declaration said “it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of San Pablo be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.”

San Pablo which claims as “the country’s coconut capital city” will showcase during the festival the various uses and products from the coconut as a “tree of life.” (PNA)
