Official mulls ‘sports summit’ in preparation for Palaro in Antique

SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique, Jan. 13 (PNA) -- Philippine Councilors League President and Ex-Officio Provincial Board Member Julius Cesar Tajanlangit is planning to hold a ‘Sports Summit’” to prepare the Antiqueños for the biggest sports event to ever happen in Antique, which is the Palarong Pambansa 2017.

“We have only a little more than three months to prepare for the Palarong Pambansa 2017 and we better be prepared. Preparations should not only be on the different game venues and the billeting of the athletes, but we also have to prepare our people,” SP Tajanlangit said.

“More than just hosting the games, we have to somehow ensure that the Antiqueños are ready to accommodate the estimated 20,000 people who will be staying with us for at least 10 days. Everybody should do his or her part because each one of us has an equally important part in this,” the youthful legislator stressed.

Although, SP Tajanlangit said, that the Antiquenos are familiar with the annual Palarong Pambansa and most are excited about it, there is a need to further educate the people about some important aspects of the competition.

He intends to invite sports personalities to give some lectures and insights.

SP Tajanlangit further said, “every Antiqueno has a role to play to make our hosting of the Palaro successful.”

“Part of the Sports Summit will be discussions on the role of the Police and the community on peace and order,” SP Tajanlangit further said, adding that orderliness during the whole duration of the sports meet is of utmost importance. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
