Joint Security Operation in Kadayangan Leads to Firefight, Weapons Recovery, and Death of Armed Group Member
The 34th Infantry Battalion, along with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and local officials, conducted a security operation in Barangay Mudseng, Kadayangan, on December 16, 2024, SGA-BARMM, after receiving reports of an armed group in the area. During a mobile patrol, they came under attack, resulting in a 20-minute firefight.
Afterward, a clearing operation recovered several weapons, including a Cal 50 sniper rifle, an M14 rifle, grenade launchers, and ammunition. One body was also found. The PNP took charge of the investigation, with the body sent for post-mortem examination. This operation highlights the successful collaboration between the military, police, local officials, and the community in combating lawlessness and promoting peace and security.
