𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has conducted a five-day Maritime Tactical Skills Training (MTST) at the Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) Headquarters in Batangas City from 09 to 13 December 2024.
Thirty-nine personnel from CGDSTL, the Coast Guard Special Operations Unit Southern Tagalog (SOU-STL), and the PCG's Maritime Security Response Group participated on the said training.
According to the CGDSTL, the training was in collaboration with key international partners, including the Special Operations Task Force-Philippines, Maritime Special Operations Forces Liaison Element (MARSOFLE), US Navy Special Boat Team-Coastal Troop, US Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team-West, and US Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance.
The program featured an extensive curriculum of lectures and practical exercises, covering critical skills such as tactical combat casualty care, maritime combat tactics, high-risk boarding operations, hostage rescue techniques, and tactical communications.
“This initiative underscores the PCG’s commitment to continually upgrading its personnel’s skills in partnership with both international and local stakeholders. The training enhances the organization’s readiness to maintain peace and security across the region, contributing to a safer Philippines and a free and open Indo-Pacific,” the CGDSTL furthered.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
