Almost 200 DENR 6 personnel promoted
ILOILO CITY, July 1 (PNA) -- There were almost 200 newly-promoted personnel from the different field offices including those in the regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 6.
DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations Demetrio L. Ignacio Jr., together with the DENR 6 regional director Jim O. Sampulna administered the oath of the newly promoted DENR VI personnel yesterday, June 30.
The promotion of the personnel was in line with the implementation of its Rationalization Plan (RatPlan).
According to DENR 6 officer-in-charge for Personnel Myla C. Reyno, the promotion of some personnel was only the initial placement of personnel as there are additional appointments readied for approval.
The DENR has first accommodated the application of the permanent personnel before it catered other applicants vying for a position.
However, 42 environmental partners from various local government units and the police force in the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental were also awarded for being strong environmental partners of the DENR 6.
DENR has given certificates and plaques of recognition to their partners to strengthen the board of collaboration and support from various stakeholders, especially among the local government units and the media sector.
DENR fortifies the strong linkages among them and made the implementation of its environmental programs easier.
There were also media partners whom DENR has recognized for being an active media channels through which environmental news were prioritized for publication and airing.
Sampulna said that Western Visayas is the best implementer of the environment projects of the DENR.
“DENR Region 6 is the number one best performing office of the DENR in the Philippines,†Sampulna said.
The oathtaking and awarding was held at the DENR 6 regional office during the 2015 Environment Month culmination program with the theme “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Careâ€.(PNA)
