The northeast monsoon or "amihan" will bring light rains over extreme Northern Luzon but the rest of the country will generally have good weather condition within the week, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Melo Mendoza said there is no weather disturbance near the Philippine territory that may affect the country.
Mendoza said that good weather is expected to prevail during the coming All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day except for possible rainshowers in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.
The northeast monsoon is usually associated with the Christmas season. It is the cold wind from Siberia that blows into the country, usually from mid-October until mid-February.
PAGASA also issued a gale warning as strong to gale force wind is expected to affect the seaboards of Northern Luzon.
Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
