MMDA proposes 15-second policy in dropping students in schools
MANILA, June 1 (PNA) -- To ensure smooth traffic on the opening of classes on June 13, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is proposing a 15-second policy in dropping off students in schools and universities along roads.

According to MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos, the 15-second policy is a suggestion to school officials to help curb traffic build-up along roads.

He noted that the schools’ systems are encouraged to implement the said policy, adding that these institutions can enforce this measure without government intervention.

”Let this be self-regulatory. Let’s not rely on the government to look after our kids,” he stated.

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) had been administering this policy for loading and unloading of school buses and services.

Meanwhile, Carlos said that 1,000 field personnel will be deploy around metropolis.

Workers to be deployed are composed of traffic enforcers, laborers and streets sweepers who will be focusing on traffic management, sidewalk clearing, anti-jaywalkng and road obstruction.

Carlos said that they will also implement and intensify anti-jaywalking campaign to help maintain the safety of pedestrians and the students.

He noted that expect smooth traffic on June 13 since only elementary and high schools in public and a few private schools will resume its classes.

”Ang maganda ngayon hindi sabay sabay because of K-12,”Carlos said adding they expect traffic to get heavier once all schools, particularly colleges and universities, opens.(PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
