BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan -- The 35 Miss World Philippines 2017 finalists showed up in their best swimsuit and resort wear for the “Beach Beauty” challenge at Savoy Hotel here.
The final winner for the said round will be announced during the Miss World Philippines coronation night on at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on September 3.
Seven ladies emerged on top for the “Beach Beauty Challenge” held late Thursday afternoon here.
Aklan’s pride, 22-year-old Jona Sweett, is among the lucky seven chosen as outstanding in this challenge, part of the Miss World Philippines 2017 competition
The half-Australian beauty who was also crowned as Miss Earth Philippines-Ecotourism in 2015 said she hopes to bring home the crown for Aklan.
Aside from Sweett, also included in the top seven were: Cynthia Thomalla from Cebu, Zara Carbonell from Batangas, Jeanyfer Ozbot from Iloilo, Shiela Reyes from Valenzuela City, Janela Cuaton from Masbate and Teresita Seen Marquez representing Parañaque City.
Aside from the Miss World Philippines crown, three other titles are at stake this year: Miss Eco Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, and Miss Multinational Philippines.
This year’s Miss World Philippines winner will succeed Catriona Gray and will compete in the Miss World pageant in China in November. (PNA)
