Cops raid Manila townhouse; seize P100M worth of shabu, nab five Chinese nationals

Anti-drug operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized about P100 million worth of shabu and ectasy tablets during a raid of a townhouse in Sta. Ana, Manila before dawn Friday.

Five Chinese nationals, suspected to be belonging to a major drug syndicate, were arrested.

Apprehended by the NCRPO-Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (NCRPO-RAIDSOTF) were Ming Yuan Yuet, 40, a native of Hokien, China and a resident of 2522 E. Rodriguez Ave.,Balut, Tondo, Manila; Danny Lee, 30 of Sze Chuan, China, Aga Co, 33 of Fujian, China and Michelle Lee, 24.

All were nabbed inside Unit 63, Eurovilla Homes, 2100 New Panaderos St., Sta. Ana, Manila.

Another suspect, Eugene Go of 2882 Juan Luna St., Tondo, Manila was also apprehended in the operation conducted on the basis of a warrant issued by Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Judge Amor Reyes.

NCRPO Director Roberto Rosales said the raid stemmed from interrogations of drug ring members arrested in past raids in Metro Manila.

He said they were coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation to shed light on when the suspects entered the country.

The suspects have been renting the townhouse for nearly nine months, police said.
