Airport police operatives apprehended on Saturday a Malaysian national at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for possession of six packs of suspected illegal drugs.
Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that Kean Hock Yap, a bearer of Malaysia passport with No. A23689067, was arrested by elements of the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGroup) upon his arrival at NAIA from Bangkok, Thailand via Philippine Airlines (PAL) Flight 731 at around 9:30 a.m.
The Malaysian’s bag reportedly yielded six packs of suspected illegal drugs. It was not known, however, what kind of prohibited drugs were seized from Yap.
â€The suspect and the seized items were brought to the Customs In-bond Room, Arrival Area for proper disposition,†said Cruz. (PNA)
