Emergency teams and public assistance centers are now in place in strategic places in the province, assisting motorists and the exodus of people coming home
to Bulacan this Holy Week.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that through the Lakbay Alalay Sumvac Program which started on Wednesday to Easter Sunday, emergency teams, police assistance teams and volunteer radio and rescue groups are deployed province wide to respond to emergency road
situations.
Alvarado said that he would be making rounds and also visit hospitals to see to it that
public assistance centers are well in place and ready.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office with its Bulacan Rescue Team and its local government rescue teams partners, different volunteer groups like Assistance and Rescue through Radio communications for Emergency Situations and Traffic (ARREST), Bulacan Integrated Rescue Association (BIRA), Kabalikat Civicom – Bulacan, Rescue 117, Baliwag Assistance & Rescue Group, Inc. (BARG), Philippine Red Cross, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police and Spectrum Communications Group are also part of the composite team that will provide free assistance to travelling public.
