An official of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) regional office urged her colleagues in the government service to work as one family in serving the countrymen.
During Monday’s kicked off ceremony of the Family Week at the Diosdado Macapagal Government Center here, DSWD regional director Adelina Apostol said that one of the keys to progressive nation is the strong and unified family relationships.
"Let us all work as one family. Unity is a strong foundation for our nation to attain progress and development," said Apostol, who is also the chairperson of the Regional Steering Committee for Family Week Celebration.
With the theme “Ensuring Work-Family Balanceâ€, the event was highlighted by candle lighting ceremony which was participated by officials and employees of the regional government agencies.
Leticia Angara-Moises, a retired DSWD regional director and former undersecretary, was the guest of honor and speaker of the celebration.
