National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents confiscated 11,760 pieces of fake
Louis Vuitton (LV) products worth 3.5 US dollars or P152 million after raids conducted in several establishments in Mania.
The NBI conducted the raids were receiving the complaint filed by Anthony Francis L. Manankil, of Manled Legal Consultancy Services, representing their client, Louis Vuitton Malletier S.A.
The raided stalls included: 1A-03, 1B-03, 1B-31, 1B-37, 1B-24, 1F-34, 1E-16, 1J-08 Ground Floor & 2A-29/31, 2E-43, 2E-34, 2F-35, 2F-41, 2B-15/17, 2B-16, 2B-19, 2B-26, 2E-42 Second Floor of 168 Shopping Mall, Sta. Elena Street , Binondo, Manila .
The NBI agents also raided the warehouses located at 3A and 3B Third Floor, 1414 Antonio Rivera Street, Tondo, Manila , and Fifth Floor, CTC Building, Sta. Elena Street, Binondo, Manila .
In a report to NBI Director Magtanggol Gatdula, the NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) said the NBI agents were armed with search warrants issued by Judge Antonio Eugenio Jr. of the Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 24.
The confiscated products included fake Louis Vuitton bags, hand bags, pouches, leather cases, shoulder bags, and other accessories. - GMA 7 News
