The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) on Thursday reported that four dead and two persons were missing in the province in the past three days.
Tess Senora, PDRRMC head, identified those dead as Marcelino Penaflor of barangay Saguing and Juanita Mangila, 70; Clarita Jungaya of barangay Bilolo and Danilo Masangkay, 27, of barangay Gen. Lim; both in Orion, Bataan.
Missing are Richard Cabli of Sta. Isabel and Alvin Galang of A. Mabini Extension; all in Dinalupihan.
They were both carried away by strong current while wading through the floods. Penaflor reportedly died of heart attack while Mangila and Clarita drowned on Tuesday.
The body of Masangkay , a farmer, who was carried away by strong current was found on Wednesday in a flooded rice field close to his house in sitio Pulo.
The PDRRMC report on Thursday showed that 83,581 families of 387,551 persons were affected in 195 barangays.
Flood waters in most of the 10 towns and one city in the province rose to more than six feet deep during the height of the ravaging floods on
Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday, flood waters subsided in Balanga City, Abucay, Samal, Orani, Pilar, Orion, Mariveles, Bagac and Morong but barangays Almacen, Pulo and Daungan in Hermosa were still with knee to breast-deep floods.
In Dinalupihan, still with waist to breast deep floods waters were barangays Layac, Sta. Isabel, A. Mabini Extension, San Ramon, Daan-Bago, Kataasan and some others.
