A bank teller was injured when a robbery gang held up a bank in Iloilo City Monday night.
A radio report said Tuesday that the incident took place at the EastWest Bank branch at the corner of Fuentes and Ledesma streets around 6 p.m.
The report said that members of the gang entered the bank and took money from the tellers.
Teller Karen Valasote, 22, was shot in her left leg when she tried to resist.
Investigation said that a female suspect acted as an innocent automated teller machine (ATM) user who asked the assistance of the bank's security guard.
When the guard opened the bank's door to assist the woman, the three male suspects entered the bank and declared a holdup.
Authorities have yet to determine the value of money taken by the suspects.
Meanwhile Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has given the police 48 hours to identify and arrest the bank robbers.
