Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) arrested a village chief, a rookie policeman and another person in a shabu session in Cotabato City over the weekend, PDEA said Monday.
In his report to PDEA Director General Dionisio R. Santiago, Director Bryan B. Babang, Regional Director of PDEA-ARMM identified the suspects as Mahdi Saglayan, alias Mahd, 41, married, owner of Manitz Enterprises; and Aziz Lidasan, alias Aziz/Kap, 40, Barangay Chairman of Matanog, Maguindanao.
The policeman was identified as PO1 Marhom Saglayan y Bagunda, alias Tex, 36, married, assigned at the Kapatagan, Lanao del Sur Municipal Police Station.
The accomplishment was the result of a telephone call that reported a group of male persons sniffing shabu inside the Manita Enterprises office in Bagua 2, Cotabato City.
Operatives were dispatched to verify the report and upon seeing that the suspects were really in the act of sniffing shabu, they immediately made the arrest. (PNA)
