DILG – Isabela awards PHP3.4M cash incentive to SGLG awardee

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Jan 4 (PNA) -- The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Isabela has awarded cash incentive to the City Government of Ilagan for winning the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

Elpidio Durwin, DILG – Isabela provincial director, together with City Local Government Operations officer (CLGOO) Raul Melegrito, awarded the P3.4 million check as incentive to the city government for having obtained the SGLG status.

The cash incentive for SGLG LGUs is part of the DILG's Performance Challenge Fund to encourage local government units (LGUs) to obtain the Seal of Good Local Governance.

The city government of Ilagan has committed to continuously deliver the necessary programs, projects and services for the benefit and welfare of Ilaguenos.

Mayor Evelyn Diaz thanked the DILG for the support and guidance in the implementation of programs and projects. (PNA)
