Press Release - The Commander of the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM), Commodore Carlos V. Sabarre, formally made a courtesy call on Davao Oriental Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang today, July 13, at the Provincial Capitol.

Accompanied by 701st Kagitingan Brigade Commander Col. Oliver Maquiling and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict Vice Chairman Mr. Ednar G. Dayanghirang, Commodore Sabarre’s visit aims to further strengthen the Philippine Army and the Philippine Navy’s coordination in terms of interoperability operations geared at contributing to the overall mission accomplishment of the Province of Davao Oriental in relation to peace and order.

During the call, Governor Dayanghirang and the senior Army and Navy officers talked about addressing possible threats that hamper the progress and peace of the province mostly caused by the remaining force of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

They also discussed matters pertaining to Navy’s transport of army forces in order to deliver timely support to various army units located in the province.

With their shared endeavours, the Governor is positive that the provincial government will be able to accomplish its mission to protect the province against security threats.
