Coast Guard cancels sailing in 3 Bicol ports
« on: May 02, 2020, 11:26:48 AM »
LEGAZPI CITY --- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Bicol on Friday morning cancelled sailing in the ports of Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte due to Tropical Storm "Jolina," according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in the province.

Raising of storm Signal Number One prompted the PCG to cancel inbound or outbound sailing in these ports.

Hundreds of passengers, trucks, and passenger buses are expected to be stranded due to the cancellation of trips in the ports of Catanduanes and Camarines provinces.

The OCD issued the advisory to local disaster councils to prohibit fishermen in the coastal towns to go out at sea due to expected strong waves as "Jolina" intensifies. (PNA)
