City of Korea, Pampanga LGU share ideas on development
YOUNGIN CITY, South Korea, Jan. 10 (PNA) -- Chan Min Jeong, mayor of Yongin City, welcomed here delegates from Pampanga, Philippines, Tuesday.
Jeong and the Philippine delegation led by Pampanga Representative Glora Macapagal-Arroyo and Governor Lilia G. Pineda discussed topics such as urban development with Youngin City as example, development of special economic zone in Pampanga, Philippines and the friendship cooperation between Yongin and Lubao.
Mayor Jeong and Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, mayor of Lubao, exchanged letter of intent (LOI) for exchange and mutual cooperation on economy, culture, arts and sports, among others.
Mayor Jeong expressed hope of cultural exchange between Yongin and Lubao after this visit and he said: "I will visit Lubao to see more possible interchanges and sign an agreement on friendship city."
Arroyo and Cayabyab expressed that “there are a lot of things to learn on urban development from Youngin City."
The visiting party has participated in several activities such as a visit to the National Assembly of Korea, and contracting an agreement on the establishment of the Danguk University campus in Lubao and an international golf school to promote a special economic zone.
