The contest to name the new Seven Wonders of the World is on going and Bohol's Chocolate Hills is ought to be among the new seven natural wonders of the world.
The Chocolate Hills has been registered in the list of nominees for the New Seven Wonders of Nature. The New Seven Wonders of Nature is a proposed revision of the Seven Wonders of the World, organized by a Swiss-based, for-profit corporation called New Open World Corporation. The same organization just created a new list of man-made wonders.
The Chocolate Hills is at 13th place as of April 5. Lake Atitlan of Guatemala.
Vietnam's Ha Long bay, Phong Nha National park and Fansipan Mountain which placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The sites are selected according to a tally of around 100 million votes cast by people around the world over the Internet and by cell phone text messages, the nonprofit organization that conducted the poll said.
The campaign to pick the seven new wonders was begun in 1999 by Swiss adventurer Bernard Weber. His Switzerland-based foundation, called New7Wonders, received some 200 nominations from around the world and then narrowed the list to 21 candidates for the public to vote on.
