BACOLOD CITY, Aug. 13 -- The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will hold the fourth leg of its 2017 Economic and Financial Learning Program (EFLP) in Victorias City, Negros Occidental from August 14 to 17.
The four-day activity includes a series of learning sessions aim to promote greater public awareness and understanding of key economic and financial issues.
On August 14, the Project BRO (BSP Reaches Out), A Savings Campaign for Kids and Teens, will be held at Victorias Elementary School Covered Court for Grades 1 to 6 pupils of 19 public elementary schools and for Grades 7 to 10 of seven public secondary schools.
On August 15, it will be held at Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias Integrated School for Grades 1 to 6 pupils of six private elementary schools and for Grades 7 to 10 students of four private secondary schools.
The “Be up to SPeed on BSP” Information Campaign on the Role of the BSP in the Economy will be held also on August 15 for the workforce, and on August 16 for the students along with the “Know Your Money” Briefing for cash handlers at Weng Weng’s Lawn, Osmeña Avenue in Barangay 21.
The Financial Education Expo will be held on August 16 and 17 for the workforce and students, respectively, at Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center.
Also on August 17, the “Paghahanda sa Kinabukasan,” Financial Learning Campaign for Overseas Filipinos and their Beneficiaries will be held at Weng Weng’s Lawn.
The EFLP embodies the goal of the BSP to promote economic and financial education among its stakeholders, who can then become more effective partners of the agency in safeguarding price stability and in ensuring a stronger and safer banking and payments system.(Erwin P. Nicavera/PNA)
