SANTOS, VILLACORTE GET 3RD STAR; PNP WELCOMES 10 NEW POLICE GENERALS

President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. has approved the promotion of Police Lieutenant General Benjamin Santos Jr., the PNP Deputy Chief for Operations and Police Lieutenant General Patrick Villacorte, the Area Commander of Area Police Command- Eastern Mindanao.

Their promotion to the 3-Star rank was formalized on Thursday in ceremonies presided by PNP Chief, Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr upon the recommendation of DILG Secretary and NAPOLCOM Chairman Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr.

On Friday, the Chief PNP also formalized the promotion of ten other senior police officials to higher ranks. They are:.
PMGEN OLIVER ALILIS ENMODIAS (Deputy Commander, APC- Northern Luzon)
PMGEN ROBERT TIRON RODRIGUEZ (TDPRM)
PMGEN BENJAMIN CASUGA ACORDA, JR. (TDI)
PMGEN ARTHUR CABALONA (Dep Cmdr, APC-Eastern Mindanao)
PBGEN COSME ABANTE ABRENICA (Ex-O, DIDM)
PBGEN ENRICO HUELBA VARGAS (Ex-O APC- Visayas)
PBGEN BENEDICTO TALAVERA PINTOR (DRDA PRO-10)
PBGEN KIRBY JOHN BRION KRAFT (DD, SPD)
PBGEN CARLITO MALAPIT GACES (DRDA, PRO 1); and
PBGEN JOSEPH BANUELOS BAYAN (C, IAD - IAS).

In his recent pronouncements, Azurin reminded all senior officials and unit commanders to add more teeth in enforcing campaign against criminality and illegal drugs with the help of the church and community through the KASIMBAYANAN project.

“We will also heavily evaluate their respective individual performances to determine their competence to continue leading their respective units,” he added.
