FOUR heavily-armed men believed to be involved in the January 2011
abduction and execution of used car traders Venson Evangelista and Emerson Lozano and his driver were killed in a gunfight with agents of the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group and the Bulacan police in Meycauayan City early yesterday morning, PNP-HPG director Chief Supt. Leonardo A. Espina said.
“We have finally neutralized this group of carjackers notorious for stealing motor vehicles at gunpoint and even killing their targets at the slightest provocation in Metro Manila,†said Espina in a report to PNP chief Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome.
The suspects are believed to be hardcore members of the dreaded Dominguez Carnapping Group whose suspected leaders, Raymond and Roger Dominguez, are currently in jail for multiple carnapping and murder charges. - journal.com.ph
