CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, Tuguegarao City -- A total of 26 drug personalities were arrested in 19 operations conducted by the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) in five days.
Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) information officer Chevalier Iringan on Saturday said that from September 18-22, 2017, IPPO conducted various police operations including buy bust, checkpoints, implementation of search and arrest warrants, and police response.
Iringan said two were arrested while serving search warrants, two from serving warrants of arrest, five from hot pursuit operations, three from police response on crime incidents, three from checkpoint operations and 11 during buy-bust.
Among the arrested are two minors caught in buy-bust operations conducted in Alicia, Isabela.
Charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act were filed against the 26 suspects.
"This only shows that Isabela-Philippine National Police is serious in its commitment to President Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs under ‘Project: Double Barrel Reloaded’.
"This notable accomplishment will not be possible without the collective efforts of the operating teams, other law enforcement agencies and the community. I am optimistic that we can easily eradicate illegal drugs in our locality if everyone will cooperate,” Iringan added. (PNA)
