SM Seaside City Cebu is the biggest mall outside of Metro Manila but the biggest mall constructed in a one set up phase of construction, "It's like building 4 malls (the size of SM Consolacion)  simultaneously.

Longest time mall construction by SM Prime in Ph. (5.5 years construction period 2011-2016). Started construction Jan 2011, opened Nov 2015, construction of the tower continued up to Aug 2016.

The mall's budget raised 3 times from P4.5B to P6B to P8.5B... contractor never anticipated the size of the mall that big the reason the budget was doubled.

Mall's gfa changed 3 times, from 250k sq.m. to 290k sq.m. to 430k sq.m.

Opening date was moved from Nov 2013 to Nov 2015

SM hired 5,000 workers to run the mall’s operations. This does not include the jobs that the mall’s tenants will generate.

The mall has 5000 parking slots.

The first Olympic sized Skating Rink outside of Metro Manila.

SM spent P20million for the CUBE alone.
The CUBE is a tribute to the Cebuanos which represents strength and stability through the years. Interestingly, the "CUBE: is just an anagram for "CEBU"

Made a monstrous traffic record in Cebu City during its opening day last Nov 27, 2015. Carmageddon Traffic lasted until 3am the next day.
