Zamboanga - Applicants for a new business name or renewing an existing business name with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) can still enjoy of the discounted business name registration until the end of this year.
DTI Provincial Director Rolando Acuña said it is in pursuant to Department Administrative Order (DAO) No. 09-05 series of 2009 which extended the temporary business name registration fees starting July 16 to December 31 this year.
“This issuance of DAO 09-05 extends the reduced fee period,†Acuña said.
Earlier, the DTI issued DAO No. 09-01 series of 2009 reducing the business name registration by half from January 16 to July 15 this year.
Instead of paying the P300 fee, applicants will only have to pay the amount of P150.
Meanwhile, Acuña said the sole proprietorship businesses now registering their business name will not only benefit from the cost-saving but also enjoy the hassle-free registration.
Acuña said personally filed original business name registrations are now processed faster; registration with other agencies are now possible at the National Economic Research and Business Registration Center (NERBAC) established by DTI; and, online business name registration can now be availed by the applicants by logging-on to
www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph. (PNA)
