una sa tanan, mag pasalamat ko sa GINOO sa daghan kaajong mga grasya nga aho nang na dawat ug sa tanan pang grasya nga mo abot. i live a truely blessed life.

sa among longsod sa maribojoc, kada december, naa juy Maribojoc CHRISTmas Basketball league. it has been going on for more than 3 decades. sa bata pa ko ug labi na karong tigulang na, hilig ko ug basketbol. inig parade na gani sa mga bbol players inig open sa tournament, naa ra intawon ko sa daplin ga tanaw. ma ibog ko sa mga players nga nag sul-ob sa ilang mga uniforms uban sa mga muses nga pastilang gwapaha. ka lami na lang unta kong uban pa ko sa parade. pero unsaon man nga wala may team nga mo pick up naho kay banga man ko mo duwa ug bbol. mao nga sagok-oy lang ko sa daplin. wa jud ko mag dahom nga mo abot ko aning ahong kahimtang karon. nga ma kaya naho ug finance ug bbol team.

kadtong pag bakasyon naho karon lang tuiga, ga dala ko ug basketbol team from mandaue city. gi pa duwa ug exhibition game vs. maribojoc selection. mi duwa ko ug apil sa mandaue. thrilling kaajo ang duwa. close fight. na pildi mi sa maribojoc selection by just one shot.

i met vergel online . nag pa tudlo sija ug trading. ahong giingnan, sugot ko pero naa koy pangajo-on nimo. kay ug mo eskwela gud ka ug trading school dinhi sa states, the minimum nga imong ma gasto is $5000. aho sijang gi ingnan, dad-a imong bbol team sa maribojoc, ikaw plete sa fast craft and i will take care of the rest of the expenses. mi sogot sija. gasto tawon pod ug pila ka libo just so he can learn. karon ka antigo na mo trade si vergel. because w/ just your computer and internet connection, you can make money anywhere in the world. vergel is from mandaue city. daghan ug kwarta kay dollar man ijang sweldo. ang ijang boss kay amerkano man.

. i like giving kay dili ba it is better to give than to receive. mao ni gahatag naho ug swerte kay tinood jud ni nga saying. what you give will come back to you pilo pilo-on. di jud ko mahutdan ug kwarta kay kanunay ko maka ganansya sa ahong DAY TRADING. panagsa ra ko ma arkanse.

kining atong kompanya nga gi hisgotan karon, ang JAZZ, mi agi ni ug penny stock. less than $1 ang presyo. ang present share price sa JAZZ karon is $145.04. just imagine how much money you have if you bought jazz at $1 a share a few years ago and sold it today for $145.

i am a real person. i do not hide in the anonymity of the internet. i'm telling my story in the hope that i can inspire someone. that life is full of hope. all these things i'm writing about happened to me. from being a poor boy in maribojoc, now i am living comfortably here in the states, making my living as a DAY TRADER. good day traders earn an average of $5000 to $10,000 in one day. i even have a friend who makes more than $100,000 a day. i am not a good trader. i only earn a few hundred dollars a day trading. sometimes when i am lucky, i make a thousand dollars. i made more than a million dollars from JAZZ thru investing, not trading.

i consider myself as a failure. technically speaking i am an engineer, 4th marine engr. to be exact. in other words, plain seaman. so walay titulo nga naka sumpay sa ahong apelyedo. dili ko dr. atty, engr. lami man gud patalinghugan ug Dr. Rene Econg or Atty. Rene Econg unta ko, pero i am just plain balong, unja karon nia naman ko sa states, balskie na. ;D

hinoon bahin sa pangwartahay, di man ko tantong dimalas, kay maka sapi man ko ug a few hundred dollars when i am in the mood to trade. ug swertehon libo pod.
naka palit ko ug EURI when the share price was still 44 cents. pag saka sa presyo, gi baligja para ka ganansya. then i noticed nga sigi lang gihapon ug saka ang share price. so i decided to buy EURI again. this time as an investment. from 88 cents sa pag balik ug palit, mi abot ug kapin $2. mag doble na unta ahong $5000, pero ahong gi pasagdan. basin pa ug ma pareha ni sa KBIO nga mikalit lang ug sotoy ang presyo.

Drug suspects slain
 November 25, 2015

BITE THE DUST. Drug personality, Kent Animas, and a buddy, Reynan Corporal, end up getting killed after messing with police officers. Animas and Corporal wounded a member of the Motorcycle Anti-Street Crime Unit (MASCU) who pursued them for engaging in a robbery with violence and intimidation, and challenged the high-profile reinforcement team to a chase up to their hide out in Barangay Tiptip. Animas and Corporal tried to open fire at the approaching police team, but the latter’s sharp shooters outsmarted them.

A drug personality who has been out on bail was killed along with his robbery buddy during a shootout Monday morning in barangay Tiptip, Tagbilaran City.

Police identified the slain persons as one Kent Animas and Renan Corporal who had been hunted down by city cops after being tagged in a robbery.

A team from the city police station responded to a report of robbery that transpired at around 10 a.m. on November 23 at Berama Bulding in barangay Dao.

Getting a tip from a concerned citizen, the cops were able to track down the two in a rented house in barangay Tiptip at around 11 a.m.

However, Animas and Corporal tried to shoot the cops, prompting the responding police team to shoot them.

Two other men were seen fleeing the area while the cops were clearing the area.

The responding police team recovered sachets of shabu, firearms and ammunitions from the house occupied by the slain men.

The investigation showed that at 10:12 a.m. on Monday, the city police station received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a robbery at Berama Building along Lara St. at sitio Lanao in Barangay Dao.

The Tactical Operation Center of the city police station dispatched all units to proceed to the incident area.

Upon receiving the information, PO3 Rex Aranjuez, a member of the Motorcycle Anti-Street Crime Unit (MASCU), immediately proceeded to the area.

Aranjuez said that while he was at the area, he saw a motorcycle which driver and backrider wearing black jacket matched the description on the suspects in the robbery incident.

He followed them, and when they were already side by side on the road, he asked the one driving the other motorcycle to stop.

However, instead of stopping, the backrider shot him.

Aranjuez pursued them towards the direction to Barangay Tiptip.

He later felt his left thigh became numb, and realized he was hit.

Aranjuez decided to call the city police station to request for reinforcement.

In response, chief of police—PSupt. George Vale—pulled a team with him, together with intelligence operatives, the Quick Reaction Team, and elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch—led by police provincial director, PSSupt. Dennis Agustin, and PSInsp. Jojit Mananquil—conducted a joint hot pursuit operation in Barangay Tiptip.

The team then received tip from a civilian at purok 48 in Barangay Tiptip that they saw two men riding a motorcycle, the driver was wearing a black jacket and his backrider was carrying a firearm.

According to the information, the two men were moving fast along a private road heading to an apartment.

The police team proceeded to the area and saw the two men, each carrying a firearm while outside the apartment.

When the armed men saw the approaching police team, they immediately pointed their gun at the cops.

The cops then drew their firearms and shot the two men.

While securing the area, the cops saw two other men fleeing from the area.

After having secured the area, the police team communicated with the forensic investigators from the Bohol Provincial Laboratory (Scene of the Crime Operatives).

The SOCO team, led by PSupt. Pinky Acog recovered a black .22 caliber Magnum Black Widow revolver with five cartridges, one .357 Magnum revolver without serial number with six cartridges, one .38 caliber snub-nose revolver with five cartridges, one 9mm cartridge case, seven .38 caliber cartridges, one .45 caliber cartridge, one heat-sealed transparent cellophane sachet containing crystalline substance, a black Honda Wave with plate number GC 64047, a black Honda XRM with plate number 7925YD, cash amounting to P34,000, and two gold necklace.

The slain persons were then later identified as Kent Animas, married, and Reynan Corporal—both residents of Barangay Dipatlong, Maribojoc.

Both sustained gunshot wounds in the head.

In an interview with the relatives and the administrator of the apartment, the police investigator learned that the suspects rented a room at the apartment earlier this month.

Further investigation showed that the robbery victim, Noel Bayron, a 28-year-old resident of Barangay San Isidro, Mabini, single, had laceration on his right forearm and bruises on the abdomen.

On the other hand, PO3 Aranjuez was treated at the Holy Name Medical Center for the gunshot wound he sustained from the incident.

Animas and Corporal had also been tagged as members of a drug syndicate.

Animas was arrested during a raid in their residence in Maribojoc in September last year, but his brother, Tyrone Animas, who was one of the subjects of the raid managed to flee then.

Both Tyrone and Kent Animas were charged of drug cases, but Kent had posted bail.

Tyrone Animas had also eluded arrest during a buy-bust operation 14 days later at Palma St., this city.

Tyrone Animas was, however, arrested after less than a week when the cops tracked him down with one of his buddies in one of the resorts in Tagbilaran City but only after a chase when they tried to swim their way to the pier area.

The brothers, with Foxy. (Lauren Knight)

The lessons I learned trying to teach my child generosity

Lauren Knight, The Washington Post

My second-born son Oliver has a serious affinity for stuffed animals. He takes such tender care of them, wrapping them in blankets when it is chilly, hauling them around on errands, baby-talking them when he thinks no one else is listening, lining them up just so next to his bed, and tucking them lovingly in every single night.

That is why, when my oldest son Milo walked past a gift shop when we were out one day just the two of us, I was touched when he noted how much his brother would love the little stuffed gray fox in the window. I took him by the hand and turned him around, giddy with the thought of the lesson in store. After telling him that we could get the little gift for his brother, we headed inside. Unfortunately, the lesson didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.

Once inside, Milo saw something he would like to buy for himself, and asked if we could get that too. “Not this time,” I hedged, noting the look of disappointment on his face, “This time, let’s just surprise Oliver. It will mean so much to him that you thought of him.” Tears streamed down his face as he handed the money over to the baffled cashier, and we headed out, both feeling miserable and disappointed. On the car ride home, I tried my best to explain how important it was to give little gifts to the people you love, especially out of the blue, to show them how much they mean to you, how much you appreciate them. But Milo sulked in the back, focused on what he had not gotten. I had wanted desperately for him to feel that excitement and anticipation of the look of joy and surprise on his brother’s face at moment he was handed that little token of love.

When we arrived home, Milo reluctantly handed the little fox over to Oliver and muttered, “I’m glad you’re my brother,” under his breath before heading up to his room to work through the complicated emotions he was feeling. I’m afraid he missed the shear joy his brother took in accepting the gift.

Later, however, when he returned downstairs, he was inundated with praise and gratitude from Oliver, who kept repeating, “Thank you so much, Milo! I love it!” while smiling from ear to ear. I could sense a softening around Milo’s edges, and eventually I caught him smiling as he watched Oliver swaddle the cherished toy in the very same baby blanket in which I had swaddled him six years ago.

As I watched the scene unfold, a thought came to me; what if the act of giving doesn’t come naturally or easily, but instead requires practice and patience? What if our children have to acquire a taste for giving, much like they acquire their taste for a particular vegetable through repeated exposure to its flavor and texture? Should we set our children up to experience how it feels to be generous, or should we let them come to it on their own?

It is true that giving gifts can help strengthen relationships among siblings. Studies on human behavior by psychologists, anthropologists, economists, and marketers all find that gift-giving is a “surprisingly complex and important part of human interaction, helping to define relationships and strengthen bonds with family and friends.” And it is the giver, not the recipient, who experiences the biggest psychological rewards from the exchange. The gift giver experiences positive changes in brain chemistry, an increase in endorphins and a feeling of euphoria during and after giving a gift. According to Jeffrey Froh, Psy.D., of Hofstra University, and Giacomo Bono, Ph.D., helping others and being generous are essential for creating grateful, connected children. Feeling connected to those they are helping leads them to develop and value social relationships. Within a family, where siblings often compete with each other for attention, such connections are essential for healthy family life.

So what are the secrets to creating a positive giving experience for our children? It may have more to do with choice than I had originally thought.

Research by Netta Weinstein and Richard Ryan found that college students reported higher levels of happiness on days that they had done something helpful or kind for others, but only when those actions felt self-chosen. Such self-chosen prosocial acts can even be seen in brain scans, according to a study at the University of Oregon; the reward centers of the brain were activated during the act of giving money, but turned out to be considerably greater when the person giving viewed the act as a choice rather than a mandatory charitable action.

One way to broach this issue with a child would be to say, “It is your choice whether or not you give your brother this gift,” rather than, “I really think you should give your brother this gift.” Making such a choice also ensures that the giver will feel a stronger sense of connection to the receiver, which is the whole point, after all.

That’s not to say that providing opportunities to think of others and to be charitable should always come directly from the source. If given the choice, most young children would choose to gift a desired item to themselves rather than others. It is part of their psychological and developmental nature to be a bit selfish, and we as parents should never make them feel guilty for this.

However, I’m willing to bet that with a little encouragement and a little practice, we can teach our children to be more giving, and in doing so, expose them to the wonderful benefits of generosity. And as such a skill will last them well into adulthood, transferring into many different relationships, it’s one taste worth acquiring.

The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students “How much do you think this glass weighs?”
.
’50gms!’….. ’100gms!’ …..’125 gms’ …the students answered.
.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”…. .
‘Nothing’ …..the students said.
.
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.
‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student
.
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
….. Ventured another student & all the students laughed
.
“Very good.
But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” Asked the professor.
‘No’…. Was the answer.
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”
.
The students were puzzled.
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students
.
“Exactly!” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this.
.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
.
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep…
.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!
.
Moral
So, when you start your day today, Remember friend to ‘PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY! ‘
.
