Have you chosen to start working at home and set up your own business? Congratulations! Remember however, that while such businesses can make you rich in no time, they can also make you bankrupt just as fast if you've made the wrong choice. So, choose wisely, taking the following issues into consideration.

What's Hot and What's Not - The most important thing for starting businesses is good research. Sniff around at forums and blogs. See who has now the upper hand - which websites get most clients, who boasts over his or her financial success and generally, what everyone seems to be doing. You may choose something else, of course, but it is wise to start a business related to those of everyone else.

What You Can - Most successful small businesses have been based on things their owners had already been doing and enjoying for years. They just decided to sell it to a wider customer base for a change. Do you do anything like doing and which could help you create a working business? Even if you have only been doing something for kicks (like playing the guitar), it is a good idea to consider it as an option for starting a business on your own.

Choose Products Wisely - If you are thinking about selling or advertising some products, make sure you enjoy them yourself. Never agree on selling things you do not truly believe in. First, is you are not 100% sure yourself that they work, how can you convince your customers? Then, if you feel your products are below the average quality, chances are you will quickly be swept away from the market. Finally, it is also the matter of honesty and in extreme cases even the consumer organizations. Generally, substandard products are too dangerous and hard to sell to really consider selling them.

Will You Have Any Help? - No company is better than the support they offer. Any good company wants their sellers to succeed, right? If you get professional training and/or some mentor from inside the company (or another "senior" seller), everything is as it should look like. However, if you are left all alone with the product, it's best to look for another business opportunity. Either the company's sales department is a mess and the company itself is going straight down, or they are scammers planning to make you buy a lot of stuff and they don't care what you are going to do with the products then.

Get all pieces of information before you act. Remember that information is the most precious asset you can have in business. Without it you risk making some really bad moves, likes getting involved with selling products no one wants to buy at the moment.
