If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.

Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.

Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.

Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.

Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.

If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends".

A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. Don't settle.

If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.

Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.

The only person you can control in a relationship is you.

Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women.

He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?

Always have your own set of friends separate from his.

Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.

If something bothers you, speak up.

Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.

You cannot change a man's behavior.

Change comes from within.

Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job.

Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.

Never let a man define who you are.

Never borrow someone else's man.

If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.

A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.

All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two way street.

You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage...

Deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.

You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you…a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.

Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.

Make him miss you sometimes... when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted.

Never move into his mother's house.

Never co-sign for a man.

Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.

Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.

How you women look at men, and how men look at women, cut both ways. So let me add my two-cent's worth if only to promote a dialogue.

As John Gray wrote, men are from Mars and women are from Venus. This doesn't mean we can never ever understand each other. It simply means that we have to acknowledge our differences in terms of thinking, feeling and communicating before we can bridge them. Come to think of it, we'd never perhaps be attracted to each other if we were mirror images of each other.

No, men are not one-dimensional robots who are wired either to like or dislike a particular woman. We are complex beings with sensitivies that probe for response and reprocity...

A man who keeps pursuing a woman even if the response is "No" is a stalker who is pyschologically sick (as are women who likewise pursue men who don't like them)...

When a relationship fails, it's not because the man didn't want nor love the woman in the first place and just fooled her. A relationship is a dynamic process whose nurturance the two are responsible for...

When he loves, when she loves
« Reply #10 on: January 10, 2008, 12:27:18 PM »
Since we're looking forward to Valentine, let me share some thoughts on this.

IS THERE love after marriage? In this season of love, perhaps more women readers quiz themselves with this question than enjoy a candle-lit dinner with their loved ones.

Just in case you're basking in the glory of love now and are looking forward to marriage, it won't harm you to know that life ahead is not a bed of roses.

Nothing kills love faster than unwarranted expectations of what it can do. The more levelheaded attitude is to ask yourself what you can do for love.

Speaking of John Gray's Men are from mars, Women are from Venus, he gave 101 ways to score points with women.  Number one in the list is:  "Upon returning home find her first before doing anything else and give her a hug".  Isn't this nice, ladies? ;)

" Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job " this qoute from Oprah plays a big rule in a certain relationship, just let us guys feel that you dear ladies cared and love your partners, therw are many ways to do it, but dont make us feel that we are more important than you are, ( kay mudako ang amung olo ), with regards to decessions it is very proper to consult our partners whatever it will be.
