Of apples and wine
« on: November 15, 2007, 04:11:47 PM »
Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.

Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to Women to stomp the heck out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Ah but there are some men who are very wise and will take an axe and chop down the tree and take all the apples for himself. ;)

Haha :P

You know though there are men who are wise to cut an apple tree down, the process maybe troublesome, as it is common for hard apples to fall onto the heads of the chopper as he chops the tree down :P Sometimes, the assailant is even knocked unconscious--however--if his resolve is strong enough...

Well then, a treasure awaits him, diba? If not...then he leaves for home with a bruised head..

This is precisely why many single lady lawyers have trouble getting married. Men are afraid to court them because they are afraid they may be inadequate.

Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to Women to stomp the heck out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

In the film "A Walk in the Clouds" starring Keanu Reeves, only married women were allowed to press the grapes (with their feet) in order to produce the best wine.

In another film (I think it was "The Curse of the Pink Panther" starring Peter O'toole as the bumbling Inspector Clousseau [late 70s or early 80s film]), the women who pressed the grapes were virgins and they did it giggling and without any clothes on.

My dear big lil brother Dodong,

Thank you for your kind words, Dong!  But I am sure you know already by now that I won't hesitate to stomp men like the grapes in the wine metaphor! :D  Bitaw, I am sure whoever will become your wife to spend the rest of your life with, you'll be blessed and your wife would be equally blessed.  You are such a responsible young man and yes, very kind and gentle.  You are an example of a gentle giant! hahahaha

Love you, Dong!

Forever your Ate Ging

BOC...very nice!  I thought women are considered as wine...."the older they are the better".  Compared as an apple.....if the right man is just staring up...I will possibly fall down regardless of getting hurt.  ;) No risk no fun!

Experience tells me that when you go apple picking, don't forget to bring a helmet.

Sometimes, an apple manages to fall on one's head.

So better to come prepared, eh? eh? hahaha!

mmm! sounds delicious, yo!

Yea we have a little (very little) garden in our backyard that my mom grows. Sometimes she grows cabbage, green peppers, green beans, sometimes she grows egg plants, tomatoes. But she loves to grow roses.

Dude, you guys grow watermelons too? Awesome, yo!

And what is balanghoy? Never heard of that term before. Can you like show a picture of it?

I love all those foods, Dong!  I have a thing for Pinoy kakanin jud!  You know what, Tia Edna (Alyssamarie/Smiffy's Mom) makes the best leche flan.  It just simply melts in your mouth but sure cholesterol and calories are unimaginable! lol

hahaha Bon, of course my dear friend, I LOVE leche flan. My mom and my Auntie Beth make really good leche flan. But Mommy makes hers sweeter kai she puts extra carnation milk. She cooks it Valencia-style hahaha.

It is medically unhealthy food. Pero, i don't care because it is one of those 'bad' foods that is just impossible to not eat. You know what I mean? hahaha

And ube jam. Whenever Mommy cooks that stuff, theres none left cuz Daddy usually eats it hahaha.

But yea ube jam and cold milk tastes good man. I used to eat that stuff back when I was a kid in Valencia. Hahaha..good ol' memories.

This is why I need to find me a Boholana wife in the future. hahahaha!
