Happy Fiesta sa tanang mga Loonanon.

It is also my great honor to announce the launching of LASA

Unsa man ang LASA?

Ang LASA is short of Loonanon Association of Saudi Arabia.

LASA was formally launched yesterday September 4, 2008 at Silveriano "Jun" Garate's residence, with it's election and induction of officers.

* Mr. Jose Luis "Joey" Pizarras Jr. immerged as the President of this group.

(Complete set of officers will be announced tomorrow)

LASA aims to empower the unemployed but skilled youths of Loon, improve their lives through free livelihood training, industrial trainings and ultimately employment abroad (KSA). These visionary Loonanons choosed their hometown as pilot town for their noble project. Should their mission be successful, they wished to spread their movement to other Bohol Towns.

With the advent of Oil Boom, construction business in Saudi Arabia is exploding, thus welders, construction personnel, engineers, foremen, mason, pipe fitters, electricians and other technical jobs are at high demand.

Leaders of this group vows to share thier God given talents and experties in helping the unemployed Loonanons.

I wish success to their simple yet sincere endeavor.

Lambay, Nokos, Sinugba, Shrimps, Tinuwa, Kinilaw nga Tangigi, Nilat-an tiil sa baka.

As you notice, the Venue is just too simple. However, it is the noble vision and implementation that matters the most.

Moreover, in a foreign country like Saudi Arabia , we are practicing Christianity in hideouts, like what the apostles did. Practicing Christianity and possession of the Bible, Rosary, etc. is a crime in this country. Hence, I believe our prayers are most sweet to the ears of our Lord.

Taga Loon ba diay ka Ondoy? This kind of undertakings done with honest intentions are most laudable.
You have seen our Bol-anon party? We rented a school auditorium with a capacity of 200 people, brought our own food, from entree to main meal and deserts, the music was provided by Estrella from Jagna and our tickets, tombolas and programm are printed at home. Minimum input for a maximum output. Kapoy kaajo apan malipayon kami kay nakasapi kami para sa among pondo. Praise the Lord!
