Fifteen persons including a six-month-old baby were injured when the van they were riding rammed in a riprap and fell into a ravine Friday afternoon in Baguio City.
The victims were initially identified as Louis Mendoza, driver; Diether Mendoza; Kim Santos, 19; Harvey Mendoza, 20; Dame Mendoza, 20; Darwan Mendoza, 19; Paulo Mendoza, 6-month-old; Lucky Santos, 18; Estrellita Santos, 53; Ronny Mendoza, 27; Darrel Mendoza, 14; Love Mendoza; Sherwin Mendoza, 21; Cecilia Mendoza, 31; and Niño Mendoza, all natives of Makati City.
They were all taken to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident happened at about 5 in the afternoon in Suello Village, Marcos Highway, Baguio City.
Initial investigation revealed that the victims were on board a KIA Vesta Van (URF-224) and taking a trip as part of their vacation in the city.
After visiting some tourist destinations in the city, the group decided to go back to Manila but as they travel, the vehicle lost its brake and rammed in a riprap and fell into the ravine.
