Travel time from Imus town here via Dang Hari to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) in Muntinlupa City would cut travel time by as much as half an hour upon completion of the construction of the four-kilometer, four-lane highway in November 2013,
officials said.
Governor Juanito “Junvic†Remulla Jr. issued the statement following the signing by the government and Ayala Corporation of a concession agreement Tuesday, providing for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Cavite-SLEx Link Road, which will take off next month and completed by November next year.
The agreement was signed by Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson and Ayala Corp. Chair Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Remulla said.
He said the SLEX Link Road highway is the very first public-private partnership project successfully auctioned by the Aquino administration, adding that upon its completion, the project is expected to provide relief to motorists using the congested Alabang-Zapote Road and help boost further the economic development of Cavite province.
The Ayala conglomerate will build the
link road in partnership with Getinsa Ingineieria, a Spanish engineering company.
Remulla also said that with the opening of the Daang Hari-SLEx connection road, motorists would go straight to SLEx through Susana Heights in Muntinlupa City, and that means significantly cut travel time.
Of course, the opening of the link road would also open up new areas along the Daang Hari stretch that goes all the way to the Aguinaldo highway in the towns of Imus and Bacoor, and also open up new businesses in these Cavite municipalities, he said.
