Around 6,000 workers from Western Visayas have already benefited from the productivity training program of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB).
Board Secretary Nesa Nolido said the training was on human resource strategy known as ISTIV which stands for Industrious, Systematic, Time-conscious, Innovative and strong Value for work which was availed by both workers and establishment owners.
ISTIV, which started in 1998, is the flagship productivity training of the RTWPB designed for micro, small and medium enterprises, she said.
Nolido said the trainings can be done at the plant level or upon request of the company or establishments and through public offering or initiated by the RTWPB.
The two-and-a-half day training; one day for workers and the rest for supervisors and owners, culminates with the preparation of an action plan, she added.
The action plan will reflect the wastage generated and the proposed measure the establishment will undertake to improve their services.
Thereafter, the RTWPB will check on the establishments to determine if the plan of action was successfully implemented. (PNA)
