Provincial police authorities are currently conducting an in-depth investigation on the proliferation of undocumented motorcycles operating in the province and the whole Central Luzon region with the arrest of a regular police officer in Bulacan allegedly supplying the “hot motorcycles.â€
The presence of at least 11 units of motorcycles of various models believed stolen turned out to be in the possession of police operatives assigned with the Nueva Ecija Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) here.
This revelation came about with the arrest of PO2 McFord Restor Hugo, 30, who is currently assigned with the Sta. Maria Police Station in Bulacan, last February 18.
Confiscated from Hugo’s possession was one Blu Sniper motorcycle without plate number and with engine No. 5D2-012465 and Chassis number MH35D2002AK012477.
Hugo was turned over to his home unit for investigation and filing of carnapping charges.
The suspect was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the police operatives near the vicinity of the Global gas station in Baliuag, Bulacan.
A cohort of Hugo, identified as PO1 Noel Santiago Barrientos of the Bulacan provincial police office, eluded arrest after he sensed the presence of the police in the area.
Local police officials had discovered that the two Bulacan police officers were involved in the selling of undocumented motorcycles among policemen assigned in the region, particularly with the PPSC. = pna
