Plane Crashed at Camp John Hay, Baguio City
« on: April 11, 2011, 09:15:08 PM »
The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) on Monday started probing the cause of the crash of a light plane which took off from the Loakan Airport here Sunday afternoon.

Police Senior Inspector Ruben Porte, station chief of a precinct of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) within the area, said the CAA has initially inspected the wreckage of the plane at the crash site in a forested area of Camp John Hay.

"The BCPO will help in the investigation although we have limited information of the incident," he said.

The single engine plane, carrying six employees of the Techno Air Company based in Plaridel, Bulacan, was able to take off but was only airborne for a few minutes before it crashed.

Four of those aboard, including the pilot, survived but two others died.

Three of those who survived are now being treated at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) while one was transferred to another hospital upon request of relatives. (PNA)
