PDEA recognizes drug free provinces, cities in Central Luzon

BALER, Aurora, Jan. 7 (PNA) --The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional office in Central Luzon has recognized the provinces in the region that declared drug free.

The PDEA-Central Luzon has acknowledged the drug-free declaration of the three provinces, namely Bataan, Aurora and Zambales and the cities of Angeles and Olongapo, based on the reports of Police Regional Office that came from Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (MADACs) in the region.

PDEA agent Christian V. De Honor, chief of Barangay Drug Clearing Team, sent data to the Philippines News Agency (PNA) showing the current status of the all- out war against illegal drugs.

Aside from the provinces and cities with 100% drug-free, the percentage of drug-cleared in other areas in the region are the following: Nueva Ecija (94.66%); Tarlac (92.79%); Bulacan (84.51%); and Pampanga (62.34%).

De Honor, in an interview, said that PDEA personnel were assessing and validating those said areas and identifying the percentage of drug-free based on 14 parameters set by the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Data also showed that of the 3,102 barangays in Central Luzon, 2,837 are affected while 265 barangays are unaffected by illegal drugs.

Of the 2837 drug- affected villages, 2,498 were already cleared.

It could be remembered that PDEA has declared Bataan as the first drug-free province in Central Luzon. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
