Pag-IBIG advises public on delay of document processing as it gears to migrate to new system
ILOILO CITY, Dec. 19 (PNA) -- Membership verification and processing of loan and retirement documents will be temporarily suspended by the Home Development Mutual Fund (HMDF) or Pag-IBIG Fund in all its member services branches (MSB) in Western Visayas from January to February next year.
Gina P. Lanceta, MSB head in Molo district, this city, disclosed Monday that Western Visayas was chosen as pilot site for the new Provident Fund Management System (PFMS) and Short-Term Loans Management System (STLMS).
PFMS is an ID-based records-keeping and capturing system. It is an enhanced system on the updating and maintaining of the contribution records of its members.
“There will be a stoppage in the processing of loans but in the end it will have a positive effect to members. It will be a seamless transaction, with no more manual transaction,†she explained.
She urged those who are planning to file their loan applications to submit their documents before this year ends. The program will be officially launched in Iloilo on January 10 next year.
Transactions will also be affected in MSB based at the Plazuela in Mandurriao district of this city, Capiz, Aklan, Sagay and Kabankalan in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
Lanceta, meanwhile, emphasized that the migration to the new system will require all members to have their Member’s Identification (MID) number while employer must secure an Employer Identification (ERID) number to ensure no duplication of records.
Employees who have none yet could register online or avail of the employee-assisted registration at Pag-IBIG branches. Employers can register via Pag-IBIG branches, through the Philippine Registry System (PRS) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or the Integrated Business Registry System (IBRS) of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).
Without the said numbers, they could no longer transact with Pag-IBIG.
Lanceta added that they already called for a forum with the employers last week to inform them of the migration process.
