Nanay Consuelo Dejaño of Brgy. Juaton is the 2nd centenarian who was awarded with the Centenarian Gift this year. Nanay Consuelo turned 100 years old last January 24, 2023 and was awarded last Friday, February 3, 2023.
To represent City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez was SP Member Carmen Jean Rama, Chairperson of the Committee on Senior Citizens and PWDs.
Nanay Consuelo is bedridden after she fell when she was 96 years old. Despite being bedridden, she can still see clearly without a pair of eyeglasses. She loves to eat Monde cheesebars and can consume one pack (10pcs.) per day and pair it with a glass of Ensure Milk.
Our centenarian received 20,000.00 cash gift from the Local Government Unit of Ormoc and food packs. She will also receive 100,000.00 from the national government.
Present also were Maribel Gucela (OIC- CSWD) and Niña Restauro (OCPDAO- Designate).
